INVICTA QUARTET
ABOUT US
Initially founded by Anthony S. Cincotta II (DMA '23), Kevin H. Chiang (BM ‘22), Lauren H. Carr (BM ‘22), and Jeremy S. Rechner (BM ‘21), the Invicta Saxophone Quartet formed in the Fall 2019 semester. Invicta represents the summit of skill and passion within the James Madison University saxophone studio. Dedicated to the promotion of chamber music through the performance of standard repertoire, contemporary music, and special commissions, Invicta sets the standard for musical achievement. Invicta members are current disciplined JMU students who strive for greatness in their musical pursuits.
MEMBERS
ANTHONY S. CINCOTTA II
Soprano saxophone
Anthony is currently a DMA student of saxophone performance, literature, and pedagogy at JMU studying under Professor David Pope. He has recently studied with Professor Lynn Klock at the University of Massachusetts and just completed his masters degree at JMU. He is also currently the Professor of Saxophone at Bridgewater college and President of the Madison Saxophone Society.
HAVEN KAHN
Alto saxophone
Haven is a freshman Music Performance major at JMU studying with Professor David Pope. He is currently serving as Secretary of the Madison Saxophone Society at JMU. Alongside his duties in Invicta, he is a member of the Marching Royal Dukes and sax ensemble at JMU.
LAUREN H. CARR
Tenor saxophone
Lauren is a junior Music Education major at JMU studying with Professor David Pope. Amongst her responsibilities with Invicta, she is also treasurer of NAfMEC, recording secretary for SAI, and Vice President of the Madison Saxophone Society.
KEVIN H. CHIANG
Baritone saxophone
Kevin is a junior Music Education major at JMU studying under Professor David Pope. He has also been involved in many organizations at JMU including NAfMEC, PMA, and has served as President for the Madison Saxophone Society.
